TFI Certified Biostimulant label newly awarded to two products

Two products have recently earned the Certified Biostimulant label from The Fertilizer Institute (TFI), joining eight other companies’ products to receive the designation under the TFI’s Certified Biostimulant Program.

Redox Bio-Nutrients’ biostimulant product Mainstay Calcium 2.0 received a top certification indicating that the product meets industry recognized standards for efficacy, safety, and composition.

“We are extremely proud that our Mainstay Calcium 2.0 product received the Certified Biostimulant label from TFI,” Redox President Colton Moon said. “There are increasing numbers of biostimulant products on the market as more growers use them. Having the certification label from TFI provides both the retailer and end-user with the assurance that we have gone the extra mile to adhere to the U.S. Biostimulant Industry Guidelines.”

Kula Bio’s Kula-N product also joins the ranks of the TFI’s Certified Biostimulant Program.

Launched in June 2023, TFI’s Certified Biostimulant initiative aligns with the United States Biostimulant Industry Guidelines, which set forth criteria for comprehensive documentation supporting efficacy testing methods, composition, and safety measures. Upon certification, a product is granted a distinctive label, signifying to agricultural retailers and consumers that it has undergone the necessary steps to meet the outlined standards in the guidelines.

“Agricultural retailers are excited to get these innovative products into the hands of growers so they can maximize the efficiency of their fertilizer while also protecting the environment,” said TFI president and CEO Corey Rosenbusch in April 2024. “But because biostimulants are a relatively new innovation there was a lack of a standard when assessing new products and determining which to recommend to growers. The Certified Biostimulant program was created to provide that standard and give confidence to both retailers and growers that they are choosing the right products that fit with their existing nutrient stewardship plans.”

Certified Biostimulant products to date include:
• AgroLiquid – PrimAgro C-Tech
• Hello Nature USA Inc. – PSP 5-0-0
• Biodyne – Environoc 401
• Timac Agro – Duo Maxx
• Valent BioSciences – Transit 500
• BioLiNE Corporation – BioLiNE Gold
• Brandon Bioscience – Algamin AQO
• Verdesian Life Sciences LLC – Primacy Alpha
• Cosmocel/Redox Bio-nutrients – Mainstay Calcium 2.0
• Kula Bio – Kula-N

Upon certification, a product is granted a distinctive label, signifying to agricultural retailers and consumers that it has undergone the necessary steps to meet the outlined standards in the guidelines.
